Download the dialup connection monitor which helps you to keep track of
your dialup useage (and therefore cost) - reports by windows username, day, month, and also stores and reports
on each call; data is stored in (unprotected) MS Access database, which makes for easy further analysis if
required. System rounds durations up to the chargeable unit applied, which can be set by the user and is stored
by the system as a parameter.
Written in C# with Access 2000 database. Uses the DNS query command to request every 10 seconds from your ISP
the IP address of the website http://www.bbc.co.uk. If successful, then the system know that you are connected; if not then
the system assumes that you are offline. Sits as a GUI application on your desktop or tray.
Installs to C:\Program Files\weir consultants\SetupDialupMonitor\ directory.
To get dialupmonitor to startup automatically with PC restart, then Create a ShortCut to
C:\Program Files\weir consultants\SetupDialupMonitor\GUI.EXE
and drag it into the directory
C:\Documents and Settings\myUserName\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.....
