Welcome to Zimbabwe  Adverts

 

These are adverts taken from the main daily newspaper the Herald (http://www.theherald.co.zw) , which does not however make its classified adverts available on the internet. The adverts are from 2 May 2006.  

 

The purposes of this mini-project are:

 

1. To stimulate internal and external trade and production.
2. To work to eliminate the present ridiculous situation where one has to spend advertising money on a daily basis in order to get noticed – this should be at least a weekly or even a monthly publication for regular business adverts – no need to chop down so many trees and charge so many people so much money just to repeat the same things every day.
3. To show that it is possible to run FREE adverts, at least online, for business so small or so tight that they cannot or will not spend advertising money every day.
4. To show that computer media does not always have to be online – it can be disseminated by email and by flash ram, cd etc.., and to show that computer media can be free and not always chargeable.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to email their text for a short advert, similar to the ones run here - it will be incorporated into future versions of ZimAdverts...
