The issue of non-EU foreign spouses married to UK Citizens

I am lucky enough to be married to a foreigner, but because of this I and she are treated by my government as a 2nd or 3rd class citizen. Becauses she does not have a UK or EU passport, we are effectively unable to come to UK without extreme difficulty despite the fact that we have been married continuously for the last 13 years.

Surprisingly, we are treated very well in all EU countries except my own.

I guess this kind of treatment meted out by the British Government is not repeated in any other civilised EU country (except probably in Denmark with their recent right-of-center government) , and feel that there may be a case for taking some class action to the European Court of Human Rights.

I know of at least one other Brit, an Englishman married to a Thai national, who has similar but different extreme experiences, and has ended up living in Switzerland, where they are both welcomed.

If anyone knows of a website or organisation which is planning to fix this uncivilised behaviour by a supposedly civilised country and civilised government, then please email me with the contact; otherwise email me and once we have 5-10 people we can get the ball rolling on this one..

If the problem DOES affect more EU countries than just UK, then we should go for a pan-EU solution - so please also non-UK EU citizens in the same situation also contact me

Coca Cola and its link to Gallstones

This is a theory of my wife, but I have seen enough incidences among moderate, heavy and excessive coca-cola drinkers to reckon that she is right.

There is probably scope for a class action by gallstone sufferers against the extremely rich coca-cola corporation; at the least there should be studies to check whether such a link exists.
